WHAT IS A WORLD CAFÉ?

The World Café Roundtables serve to jointly search for answers to industry-specific questions and challenges and to develop solution approaches in dialog. In an interactive exchange, you will meet 8 to 15 colleagues in 5 rounds of 30 minutes each to enrich the discussion with different backgrounds and perspectives. In the roundtables, the moderators lead topic discussions with the aim of sharing, questioning and making visible common experiences, challenges as well as individual approaches to solutions. This enables new ideas, perspectives and options for action.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The moderators of each World Café first briefly introduce the topics to be discussed. The results of the joint brainstorming are continuously recorded on flipcharts, metaplan walls and discussion cards. After every half hour, the participants switch to a new roundtable – the sequence is already printed on the name tag. At each new round, the facilitators first give a summary of the discussion results so far, thus introducing the next round. The results, pictures & key take-aways are photographed after the event and made available in the we.CONECT Media Center.
