Siemens Switzerland has developed a Power BI desktop in-house with the aim of offering employees Business Intelligence as a service. This in-house service works web-based, with employees creating reports themselves and these reports being processed and tested by the BI team, taking into account the constant automation and technical developments. In the past, Siemens has tried different ways to train all employees to create reports, with moderate success. Therefore, this is now learned in regular training sessions.
